From Code to Impact: How Carolina Drives Agile Transformation at Scale

Technology was always part of Carolina’s journey. With a background in computer science, she initially imagined a career focused on coding. But early on, she realized that what truly excited her was not writing lines of code. It was understanding how technology could solve real business and user challenges.
Today, as a Principal at BCG Platinion, Carolina leads Agile at Scale transformations that redesign organizations, empower teams, and enable lasting change. Her work spans strategy, tech enablers, KPIs, and operating models. Yet for her, the most meaningful part of transformation goes beyond frameworks and systems.
It’s not only about redesigning processes or implementing technology. For me, the most rewarding part is seeing the impact on people.
Carolina de La Rua, Principal

Carolina describes her role as a balance between structure and adaptability. Every client brings a different culture, set of challenges, and level of digital maturity. Some projects focus on scaling Agile ways of working across entire organizations. Others involve GenAI initiatives or redesigning digital products from scratch. The variety keeps the work dynamic and constantly evolving.
A defining element of her experience at BCG Platinion is the close collaboration with both colleagues and clients. The teams she works with are not only highly skilled but also deeply supportive. That environment creates a shared ambition to perform at a high level while building genuine connections along the way.
Client relationships often extend well beyond the duration of a project. For Carolina, transformation is not a transactional exercise. It is about building trust, creating alignment, and shaping change that lasts. Staying in touch with clients years after a project ends is, to her, a reflection of that culture.
The pace is fast, and the exposure is significant. Early in her career, she found herself working closely with senior stakeholders, gaining insights and responsibilities that accelerated her growth. Each engagement offered a new opportunity to expand her perspective across industries and technologies.
What drives Carolina every day is seeing the tangible results of transformation efforts. When teams adopt new ways of working, when organizations operate more effectively, and when people feel empowered by change, that is when the work becomes truly meaningful.
At BCG Platinion, she has found a place where technology meets strategy, and where transformation is ultimately about people. For Carolina, that combination continues to make every new challenge worth taking on.
