Axel Griewel is a Managing Director at BCG Platinion in the Cologne office.
He brings extensive experience in digital transformations across media and telecommunications, with a focus on data management, machine learning enablement, and sustainable target architectures. Axel has a strong track record in building international joint ventures, scaling cross-country teams, and establishing agile operating models.
Prior to consulting, he worked as a bioinformatics research scientist at the University of Hamburg and the University of Texas. He holds a diploma in Bioinformatics (MSc equivalent) and a Dr. rer. nat. (PhD equivalent) in image recognition and computer science.
