Then join us in tackling critical technology challenges for the world’s leading banks and financial services providers. As a (Senior) AI Tech Architect in Financial Institutions (all genders), you will leverage cutting-edge technologies such as Cloud, AI, Blockchain, Microservices, and Containerization. Bring your individual strengths to our unique team. Together with Boston Consulting Group, we turn our clients’ digital visions into reality.
Shape the world of tomorrow
- You design AI-driven target architectures for financial institutions and conceptualize AI-powered software factories for leading banks and financial services providers.
- You develop AI-driven delivery pipelines and take responsibility for translating core banking engineering standards and regulatory architecture principles (e.g., BIAN, Basel-compliant control frameworks) into machine-executable workflows.
- You establish trusted AI engineering environments for regulated banking workloads by designing governance mechanisms with multi-layered verification, clearly defined identity boundaries, and end-to-end traceability.
- You implement and oversee evaluation and security mechanisms that address business-critical requirements and regulatory frameworks – ranging from automated testing and evaluation pipelines to architecture compliance checks (e.g., BaFin, ECB, DORA) and red-teaming approaches for AI-generated systems.
- You transform financial institutions’ enterprise knowledge into machine-readable structures – such as core banking domain models, product and pricing rules, payments APIs, and risk and compliance frameworks – enabling autonomous software development across financial institution systems.
You make the difference
- You have successfully completed a degree in (Business) Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field with above-average academic results.
- You bring several years of professional experience in IT consulting, IT project management, or professional software development, with a focus on financial institutions.
- You have extensive hands-on experience in one or more banking domains, such as Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, or Transaction Banking (TxB).
- You have a solid understanding of banking architectures, including core banking systems, payments, data platforms, bank management, or risk and compliance.
- You understand the technologies behind emerging trends such as Agentic AI, LLM orchestration, and AI-native architectures, while also being familiar with legacy IT systems and enterprise solutions.
- You are experienced in modern software delivery practices, including DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Platform Engineering.
- You are familiar with concepts such as Agent Assembly Line, Execution Harness, and Context Engineering, and understand how to integrate them into secure, scalable enterprise architectures.
- You thrive in agile, interdisciplinary teams and are flexible and willing to travel.
- You can confidently understand and communicate complex topics in both German and English.
